THOUSANDS OF COFFEES SERVED UP AT DRIVER REVIVER

Volunteers this Easter long weekend have been busy handing out more than 2,000 cups of coffee at driver reviver stops across the Hunter.
Lions Club member Peter Francis says it was good to see so many drivers using the service.
“The object of the exercise is to get them off the road, get them to come and sit down.”
“The whole of the weekend has been busy, it’s been one of the busiests we’ve had up here.”
Drivers have also consumed 700 sausages, 20 kilograms of bacon and 400 cans of soft drink.
