LARGE SCALE SEARCH AFTER PERSONAL ITEMS FOUND ON CENTRAL COAST BEACH

UPDATE | The owner of a number of items found at Spoon Bay north of Terrigal has been located safe and well.

EARLIER | Police are appealing for public assistance, after a number of personal items were found on the shoreline at Spoon Bay north of Terrigal on the Central Coast.

Emergency services were alerted to the items, which included clothing at around 3 o’clock on Saturday afternoon.

It’s understood they were first seen at around midday.

Following the discovery, a large scale search involving water police, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter & local surf lifesavers was commenced, though failed to locate anyone.

A crime scene has now been set up – anyone with information is asked to contact Brisbane Water Police.
