Maitland’s men’s side will head into round eight of the Waratah Basketball League full of confidence, after knocking off ladder leaders the Central Coast over the weekend.
Terrell Turner led the way with 22 points, backed up by Isaiah Ellis with 17 and 12 rebounds, as the Mustangs beat the Crusaders 85 to 82.
Second-placed Maitland will host Canberra on Saturday night, then back up against Penrith on Sunday afternoon.
