A police officer charged with allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old boy, has pleaded not guilty at Grafton Local Court.
The constable, attached to Coffs Clarence command, was charged with common assault, following an incident at a department store in Grafton in April.
The court heard allegations that the officer assaulted the boy in an office, after the boy was detained at the store, accused of shoplifting.
The officer’s case was adjourned until November.
