Hunter motorists are feeling the pain at the petrol bowser.
Prices have soared in recent days due to a dip in international fuel supplies and geopolitical tensions.
The state average for E10 is around $1.46 a litre – some Hunter stations are around four to six cents dearer.
And in more bad news for drivers, the NRMA says prices are likely to rise further, in the short-term.
