HUNTER MAN LINKED TO $140-MILLION DRUG BUST
Police have arrested a Rutherford man as part of their investigation into the importation of $140-million worth of illicit drugs to Australia.
Earlier this month, authorities launched an investigation after MDMA and cocaine was detected inside shampoo bottles, on a consignment from Spain.
The packages allegedly contained 312 kilograms of cocaine and 236 kilograms of MDMA.
Yesterday, officers attached to Strike Force Bresnahan, arrested a 33-year-old man outside a Cromer storage facility.
He was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Manly Local Court in July.
Investigations are ongoing.
