Almost 40 gravestones have been left severely damaged after an incident at a cemetery in the Hunter Valley.
Police have been told a vehicle was spotted parked in the Sedgefield cemetery, near Singleton at around 7 o’clock on Friday evening.
Initial investigations suggest multiple people were involved in the incident, in which 36 gravestones were damaged.
