SENATE TO INVESTIGATE APVMA MOVE TO ARMIDALE

The Senate has agreed to investigate the Coalition’s decision to move the APVMA to Armidale.

The inquiry will focus on the processes leading up to the decision, as well as the implications for relocating the government facility.

Shadow Agriculture Minister Joel Fitzgibbon said the move is one of the most audacious exercises he’s seen in his political career.

“The relocation of the APVMA is already destroying its capacity, it’s going to have an enormous impact on farm productivity and is going to have an impact potentially on human health.”
