From Tascott to Tokyo 2020: Central Coast high jumper Nicola McDermott is heading to the Olympics, thanks to a 1.96m personal best in the Czech Republic.
The Commonwealth Games bronze medallist failed the height just days before in Sweden, but nailed it at the Golden Spike event on Thursday.
McDermott wrapped up third in Ostava, while Russian Mariya Lasistkene took out the comp with 2.06m.
