WOMAN ALLEGEDLY BOUGHT $60,000 WORTH OF GOODS WITH STOLEN CARD
A woman’s been charged with using an elderly woman’s bank card to buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of goods in the state’s north-west.
Police say the 46-year-old used the card on 80 different occasions without the knowledge of its owner.
She allegedly spent almost $60,000 between July 2018 and January this year.
She was arrested on Tuesday this week, when police searched a Lindsay Avenue home at Bingara, seizing a car and furniture.
She’s been charged with nine counts of fraud and will appear in Inverell Local Court.
