NEWCASTLE SES VICTIMS OF THURSDAY MORNING BREAK-IN

SES volunteers have been left shaking their heads, after callous thieves broke into their Newcastle headquarters.
Two men were captured on CCTV forcing entry into the neighbouring RSPCA building yesterday morning, before making their way through to the SES garage.
Thankfully, an alarm frightened them off – and millions of dollars worth of equipment wasn’t touched.
“We’ll be the people you’ll call, when you need our assistance, and we won’t have the equipment to come and help you because it’s been taken by somebody,” said Graeme Silver from Newcastle SES.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
