CHARGES LAID AFTER CENTRAL COAST MAN LOSES FINGER IN ALLEGED ASSAULT
A 32-year-old man had to have his finger surgically removed after he was assaulted on the Central Coast last week.
The man turned up at the Charmhaven RFS station on Wednesday morning last week, suffering a partially severed finger, along with cuts and bruises.
He was taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, where his finger was surgically removed.
Following investigations, a 40-year-old man was arrested at a home in Blue Haven on Monday.
He was charged with two offences, including commit grievous bodily harm.
The search for a second man, believed to have been involved in the assault, is ongoing.
