A man has been arrested in Newcastle following a robbery on the Far North Coast earlier this year.
The 30-year-old was taken in to custody on Tuesday as part of an investigation in to the March 3 robbery.
It’s alleged he was armed with a machete and forced his way in to a service station at South Murwillumbah, allegedly thtreatening an attendant and male customer, before stealing cash and cigarettes.
No one was injured.
The man was charged with armed robbery and is due to face Raymond Terrace Local Court next Monday.
