GOODBYE HAIR…HELLO DONATIONS!

With just a few snips, a quick buzz and a whole lot of courage, a Newcastle woman has bid farwell to her hair, helping to raise $5,000 for Alzheimers Australia.

Jodie Pophristoff lost her mother to the disease last October, and promised she would lose her locks to help others.

“It’s not going away – people in their 30’s are in nursing homes, there’s no where else for them to go, families don’t have the facilitations to look after them or they’re not able to through their own grief.”

Alzheimers affects more than 300,000 Australians.
