DPI GRANTS AIM TO PREVENT MASS FISH DEATHS
The Department of Primary Industries is rolling out hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of community grants in an effort to prevent mass fish deaths in the Murray Darling Basin.
More than half a million dollars will go to angling clubs, landholders and councils in the North-West, including those in Tamworth and Tenterfield.
It’s hoped the money will improve water quality in creeks, rivers and estuaries – as well as fencing and revegetation.
