Fingal Rovers Surf Club is out of any immediate danger,after truckloads of sand were dumped to help replenish the eroding coastline today.
The surf club was just over 11 metres from a steep cliff yesterday, but tree debris pushing against the escarpment helped prevent any further erosion overnight.
Council is now looking to the state government to help fund a more permanent solution.
