DRIVER AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER GOLDEN HIGHWAY CRASH
There’s been a serious crash on the Golden Highway at Jerrys Plains in the Hunter Valley.
Traffic is affected in both directions as a result of the head on collision, which happened at the intersection of Lemington Road.
Emergency services, including a Westpac Rescue Helicopter were first called to the scene at around 6 o’clock on Wednesday morning.
Neighbours have told NBN News they heard a large crunch, before hearing the screams of an injured man.
The driver of one car was airlifted to hospital, while the driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital by road.
