A 10-year-old girl is fighting for life after she was pulled from a backyard pool in Little Mountain on the Sunshine Coast yesterday afternoon.
She was found floating and unresponsive in the pool, and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Earlier in the day, a three-year-old girl drowned at a community pool in Bethania, in Logan.
Paramedics had responded to reports that the unconscious toddler had been pulled from the pool, and performed CPR on the girl as she was taken to Logan Hospital.
She had been at a party at the pool with her family and was pulled from the water by a family member.
About 70 people were at the pool at the time.
Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful and she died in hospital.
Yesterday in the Brisbane suburb of Rochedale, two boys, aged three and four, almost drowned.
CPR was performed on the pair and they were rushed to Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.
