Previous winners include NRL stars Kade Snowden and Jarrod Mullen, now South Newcastle junior Tom Rouse has added his name to the Carlson Club-Andrew Johns Medal.
The award comes after the 17-year-old earned the title of New South Wales Junior Ball player of the year.
The five-eighth also led the Knights’ SG Ball side to a premiership last month.
He’ll join four other junior Knights in an under-18 interstate curtain-raiser to origin two on Wednesday.
