Re-vegetation of land near Warnervale Airport may not involve planting new trees.
Councillors last night determined a remediation plan should be drafted for the wetlands near the runway, possibly focusing on weed removal.
It comes amid concerns trees could pose a safety risk to pilots and passengers.
