Maitland scored valuable away goals in a 2-all draw with Broadmeadow in the first leg of their semi-final series in the Hunter’s NPL competition.
The Magpies led early through Joel Wood, before a frantic period midway through the second half saw three goals scored in four minutes.
In the other clash, Edgeworth leads Lambton 4-1 ahead of this weekend’s second leg.
