SINKHOLE OPENS UP IN NEWCASTLE CBD

Part of downtown Newcastle slipped away this afternoon a small sinkhole opening up near the intersection of King and Auckland streets.

The incident caused minor delays, as drivers cautiously navigated the intersection.

Authorities are now on scene, trying to determine the cause, with work underway to fill the void.
