Uncertainty surrounds the future of federal funding set aside more than two years ago for the Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium.
Lyne MP David Gillespie is trying to salvage the $2.8 million pledge, which was thrown into doubt with the change of government.
Local mayor Peter Besseling says council will continue to plan for the project.
“This is an enormous opportunity for our community it would be a shame to lose it, but that’s over to the Federal Government.”
