FURTHER DROUGHT FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR STRUGGLING FAMILIES

Struggling families across the New England region will soon have increased access to financial assistance.

Barnaby Joyce announcing a further $33.4 million dollars has been allocated to those impacted by the big dry.

The funding, delivered under the Drought Community Support Initiative, will aid primary producers and their families by covering urgent bills such as food, petrol and utilities.

Eligible households can receive up to $3000.

The Federal Government will work with local charity organisations to ensure the money is efficiently distributed.
