There was plenty of excitement on day two of the Living Smart festival in Lake Macquarie – one of the country’s biggest sustainability events.
TV presenter and gardening guru, Costa Georgiadis, made an appearance – dressed as his garden gnome character from ‘Dirt Girl World’.
He was there to host workshops and judge the school garden competition.
Children from more than 20 schools built gardens, using all sorts of materials – even finding unique ways to recycle plastics.
