BAT-INFESTED TREES AT SINGLETON TO BE REMOVED

Singleton Council has received final approval to cut down two bat-infested trees and prune several others at Burdekin Park.
Thousands of flying foxes call the park home, despite numerous attempts to move them on.
The council says workers will fell the trees next week, and it’s already in the process of applying to have several others removed.
