Hunter wilderness purchased to protect endangered species

A pocket of wilderness, tucked away near Stroud north west of Newcastle, could prove key to saving koalas.

The 4,000 hectares is critical habitat to more than a dozen endangered species – and it’s now been purchased by two Sydney philanthropists… to be protected.
