WOMAN AIRFLIFTED AFTER ACCIDENT ON RURAL PROPERTY

A woman in her 40s had to be airlifted to hospital this morning, after she became stuck between a vehicle and a fence near Armidale.

The 45-year-old was left with multiple lower leg fractures following the accident at Castle Doyle, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter tasked to the scene.

She was stabilised at the scene before being flown to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital for treatment.
