TWO CHARGED OVER CENTRAL COAST ASSAULT
Police have made a breakthrough in the investigation into the assault and kidnapping of a man on the Central Coast earlier this month.
Two people have now been charged over the incident, which left a 36-year-old man fighting for life in hospital with suspected brain damage.
He was found unconscious in bushland alongside Doyle Road at Macmasters Beach on Saturday October 19.
It’s alleged the prior evening he was one of three men who left a licensed premise in Terrigal in a Toyota Corolla, only to be dragged from the car on Carrack Road at Kincumber and bashed.
He was later left to die at Macmasters Beach.
Following inquiries, a 22-year-old man was arrested at Terrigal and charged with a number of offences including causing grievous bodily harm to person with intent.
A 27-year-old man has also been charged.
