A Redhead man is facing break and enter charges after he allegedly stole from a unit block in Newcastle West earlier this month.
Just before midday on Monday, police arrested the 31 year old at an apartment in Broadmeadow.
It’s alleged the man, who was on conditional bail, forced a door open to enter a garage on Bellevue Street and stole property early in the morning on October 22.
The matter was reported to police at the time.
During his arrest, police also found a bottle believed to be filled with the prohibited drug gamma-butyrolactone in a bag the man was carring.
He was charged with break, enter and steal, possess prohibited drug and breach of bail, and will appear at Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday November 5.
