GAV’S WEATHER | CALMER, WITH NO RAIN TILL SUNDAY
Little to no cloud sits over a dry, parched nation starved of moisture.
The latest dry change has cleared into the Tasman, and there are no major weather features around the country.
Another belt of blocking high will control the nation’s weather, keeping things dry, warm to hot and relatively calm.
The monsoon trough has appeared in the north but has no moisture to feed off.
Another fine, mostly sunny day with more smoke haze lingering; light variable winds with coastal afternoon seabreezes.
On Sunday, some coastal showers will develop with some isolated storms possible.
Big rain totals are unlikely, with nothing expected to fall west of the Dividing Range.
