The RSPCA is warning pet owners to plan ahead, to help minimise the stress on animals in bushfire affected areas.
The organisation is urging pet owners to put together an emergency kit.. including essential items such as food and water bowls, ID tags and vaccination certificates.
Residents still at home should seal windows and doors to help prevent pet smoke inhalation.
If you hold any concerns for animals in the region, please call the RSPCA, WIRES or the local police.
