A local dragonboat regatta has been cancelled for this weekend due to safety reasons.
The Great Lakes Pearl Dragons were set to hold their 8th annual competition in Forster on Saturday and Sunday.
The team believes it is unsafe to run the event in the current bushfire crisis.
