The Newcastle Jets have signed another youngster, with Gosford-born attacking midfielder Joey Gibbs joining the A-League club for next season.
The 20-year-old made 13 appearances for Western Sydney last season, and came off the bench for the Sky Blues in the previous grand final.
Jets CEO Robbie Middleby said the signing of Gibbs would bolster the Jets’ forward line, “Although he’s only young, Joey has experience at A-League level from his time spent with Western Sydney Wanderers last season and also from having played in a Grand Final with Sydney FC.”
