ARMIDALE WOMAN ARRESTED OVER $2.1 MILLION FRAUD SCHEME

A woman has been charged in connection to a large-scale financial fraud scheme in the NSW Northern Tablelands.
It’s alleged the 57-year-old woman, while working as an officer of an Armidale-based company, operated an investment scam involving the sale of company shares.
Between 2014 and 2018, police identified 22 victims of the scam, who have allegedly been defrauded more than $2.1 million.
The woman has been charged with 22 counts of obtaining benefit by deception and refused bail, to appear in court on September 25.
