MAN ALLEGEDLY RAMS NEIGHBOUR’S CAR WITH A TRACTOR
Two men will be charged over a bizarre neighbourhood dispute, where one of them allegedly rammed a car with a tractor in the Clarence Valley.
A 43-year-old man is accused of verbally abusing a woman at her home on Smith Creek Road, before a 67-year-old man showed up at the property.
Police say the younger man left, and returned a short time later, driving a tractor towards the home.
He then allegedly rammed the older man’s car with the tractor.
The older man responded by firing shots at him from a rifle.
Officers arrested the 43-year-old a short time later and when breath-tested, he blew 0.088.
He was charged with two counts of using an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence and one count of mid-range PCA.
The 67-year-old man has been charged with firing a firearm in a manner likely to injure a person or property.
