MOLOTOV COCKTAILS FOUND AFTER SUSPICIOUS FIRE

A fire which destroyed an elderly couple’s home in Gunnedah overnight, is believed to have been deliberately lit.

The Conadilly Street home was fully alight, when firefighters arrived there at 3 o’clock this morning.

Neighbours helped residents to safety.

The blaze also forced the evacuation of a nearby motel.

Two burnt out Molotov cocktails were found in an adjacent street, hours later.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.
