ENGLAND AND NORTHERN NSW TO GO HEAD-TO-HEAD IN VETERANS CRICKET

International cricket will return to Tamworth tomorrow for the first time in more than 20-years.

The initiative has come about through Tamworth Veteran’s Cricket, and features the touring England over-60’s side.

The veteran cricketers will play a combined Northern New South Wales seniors team – including five Tamworth players.

Not since 1996 has the international game been played in the region.

The day-night match gets underway from 3pm at Tamworth’s No.1 Oval.
