Hundreds of people gathered at New Lambton Wests last night, for the annual City of Newcastle Drama Association Awards.
160 people were nominated for achievements from 40 local theatre companies.
Three major awards were given from 27 categories including technical, acting, directing and youth awards.
Erin James and Daniel Stoddart won the award for Best Musical, Cassie Hamilton won Best Dramatic Production and Graeme Black was acknowledged for Outstanding Achievement and Contribution to Theatre.
