FIRES TO WATCH
More than 100 fires are burning across New South Wales, many of which are yet to be contained.
Wednesday 6pm
The fire burning at Martins Creek Road, Paterson has been upgraded to Emergency Level.
It’s burned through at least 12 hectares so far.
The Boggy Swamp Creek blaze near Singleton has also been upgraded to Emergency Level.
A total fire ban remains in place for tomorrow.
Wednesday 5pm
An Emergency Level blaze has flared up at Gospers Mountain at Wollemi National Park.
Those in the area should seek shelter immediately.
Two new Watch and Act fires have flared up in the region, including:
- Martins Creek Road, Paterson.
- Upper Turon Road, Lithgow – More than 5 hectares burned.
Wednesday 4pm
Emergency services are attending to seven Watch and Act blazes from the Central Coast to the Mid North Coast.
People in the following areas should monitor the situation closely:
- Myall Creek Road, Bora Ridge – More than 110, 000 hectares burned.
- Carrai East, Willawarrin, Kempsey – More than 121, 000 hectares burned.
- Leggetts Drive, Kurri Kurri – More than 200 hectares burned.
- Narone Creek Road, Wollombi – More than 2,500 hectares burned.
- Little L Complex, Singleton – More than 21, 000 hectares burned.
- Boggy Swamp Creek, Singleton – More than 4, 400 hectares burned.
- Three Mile, Central Coast – More than 5, 800 hectares burned.
The Three Mile bushfire burning on the Central Coast's western fringes is now 5 times the size it was yesterday and at a "Watch and Act' level.
