Sail GP world champion Kyle Langford will be hoping to inspire a new generation, as part of a program being held at Lake Macquarie from January 21.
Up to 24 people – aged nine to 13 – who’ve never sailed before, will be selected to try the sport for the first time at a camp at Point Wolstoncroft.
Participants will sail a smaller version of the boats used in the Sail GP series, and will also get to meet the Australian team, ahead of round one on Sydney Harbour in late February.
