COSTA RESUME WATER BUYS FROM COFFS SUPPLY

Despite a ban being imposed on the sale of town water to blueberry giant Costa Berries last week, the trucking of water resumed this morning.

A stand pipe at Woolgoolga is being used to fill trucks which cart the water to the Costa plantation at Corindi.

No explanation has been given for the apparent lifting of the ban, which comes at a time when Coffs Harbour is on level one restrictions.

Concerns have also been raised over the fact the stand pipe has not been locked for several days.
