Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the Northern Tablelands area over the next several hours.
Locations that may be affected include Armidale, Glenn Innes, Ebor, Guyra, Walcha and Uralla.
Emergency Services advise that people should move cars under cover or away from trees, secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony, keep away from power lines and stay indoors away from windows.
