POLICE FIND CANNABIS IN BOOT OF CAR
A man will face court today after 30 kilograms of cannabis was allegedly found in the boot of his car near Coffs Harbour last night.
Just before 11pm, police saw a car speeding north on the Pacific Highway at North Moambee Valley.
The 34-year-old driver was stopped, and when police searched his vehicle, they allegedly found three large, striped travel bags, each containing a large amount of cannabis.
The man was arrested, taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with supplying a prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity.
The cannabis found had an estimated street value of $250,000.
He’ll face Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
