AUTHORITIES INTERCEPT CENTRAL COAST DRUG IMPORTS
A Central Coast couple will front court today on a string of drug charges, after allegedly importing prohibited substances into the area.
Several parcels, allegedly containing steroids, were intercepted by Australian Border Force, then continued their journey to Erina Post Office on Thursday, where a man and woman collected the parcels before driving off.
Police later stopped the vehicle and arrested a 28-year-old man.
Shortly after, a 24-year-old woman was arrested, following a search at a unit on Ghersi Avenue in Wamberal – police allegedly seized various steroids and MDMA.
The man was slapped with nine charges, including importing prohibited substances and supplying prohibited drugs.
The woman was charged with four counts of importing prohibited imports, and two counts of supplying prohibited drugs.
The pair were refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Friday.
