The proposed ` Rocky Hill` open cut mine, rater than being o some rocky hill, is
principally on the Avon River flood plain, which is by any reasonable measure, prime, productive agricultural land,.A commodity which will be in desperately short supply in coming times when the ever growing world population has to be fed. Besides which it is located less than one kilometer from the edge of Gloucester township. A circumstance which exposes the town residents to the noise, dust and visual pollution which would destroy the amenity presently enjoyed and subject them to serious health hazards. It would be an obscenity.
