MIXED RESULTS FOR CENTRAL COAST CRIME STATS
The latest crimes statistics show a spike in weapons charges on the Central Coast.
The category – which takes in everything from gun offences to bomb hoaxes – jumped by 22 per cent per year, over the two years to December 2019.
Thefts from motor vehicles also rose.
The number of liquor and break and enter offences dropped, while fewer people have been charged for using offensive language.
