FIELD TELEPHONES AT FRANK PARTRIDGE MILITARY MUSEUM

Lovers of military memorabilia will be blown away by a new collection on loan at the Frank Partridge Military Museum.
A range of 11 military field telephones from World War 1 right through to the Vietnam War have gone on show.
Spotted at the recent Rusty Iron Rally, the collection caught the eye of the museum’s Blue Manning.
“These were loaned to us by a gentleman from Canberra. We’ve got them on loan and display here for about five months, they all work, he’s a phone nut”
The field telephones originally replaced flag signals as an efficient means of communication.
