ARMIDALE COUNCIL MEETING DEFERRED FOLLOWING VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE
Tensions ran high in a closed-door extraordinary meeting, following a vote of no-confidence in the CEO of Armidale Regional Council.
60 staff have backed a motion to sack Susan Law, but this morning, Mayor Simon Murray chose to defer the matter.
He says according to Council’s own code of practice, two councillors must speak FOR a motion and TWO against it for a vote to take place.
The Department of Local Government has been called upon to intervene.
