Former Moree councillor James Von Drehnen has decided not to throw his hat in the ring this time around.
He has served on the Moree Plains Council for two consecutive terms but he fears another four year term would make him resent the position.
“Local government is a wonderful thing but 8 years is good enough for Obama, so it’s good enough for James Von Drehnen.”
His decision has made way for six new councillors to bring their fresh ideas to the table.
